Super Simple Gluten-Free Italian Night

Thank goodness for bionaturae Gluten-Free Pastas. There’s nothing better than a simple weeknight dinner after a long day of work and after school activities. And a super fast ‘n’ easy Gluten-Free Italian Night with bionaturae pasta is a favorite of everyone in the house. :) Here’s how we do it…

I’ll usually brown up some lean ground beef or tofu (in a frying pan I put a little drizzle of Newman’s Own Olive Oil, a teaspoon or so of diced garlic and a few shakes of dried oregano and basil). Then I’ll throw a jar of gluten-free pasta sauce into the frying pan (we love Newman’s Own Tomato and Basil pasta sauce — all Newman’s Own pasta sauces are gluten-free!) and heat while the pasta’s cooking. Sometimes I add a bit of extra veggies into the sauce, like can of diced tomatoes (Muir Glen Organic Diced Tomatoes are gluten-free). Then after the pasta’s done cooking, I drain it and toss it into the frying pan (I have a huge, cast iron pan) and stir it over a low heat for 3-5 minutes. Then we serve it topped with some cheese and fresh chopped basil or oregano (our 6-year-old son is really into gardening since they do it once a week at school, so I actually have fresh herbs on hand for the first time in our lives!).

Oh! And don’t forget your garlic bread!! (Did you ever think you’d hear that on a gluten free diet?!) Spread some Garlic Joy on a few slices of Udi’s Sandwich Bread, stick ’em under the broiler for a few minutes ’til toasted and YUM! In less than 20 minutes you have your entire gluten-free italian night done: Pasta with Meat Sauce and Garlic bread.
