Always Double Check Your Sources

No matter how reliable a source may seem, it’s always a good idea to double check all sources of gluten-free information. And I do mean ALL sources: while updating my post on Gluten Free Dining at Chik-Fil-A to reflect links on their new

site, I noticed a glaring error. On the Gluten Information page of Chik-Fil-A’s site it states that their Spicy Dressing is safe to consume on a gluten-free diet. Yet on their Allergy Page’s Quick Reference Guide, Spicy Dressing has a warning for Wheat! So if the Allergy Page is right, then their Gluten-Free Info Page is incorrect and we could all be unknowingly be ingesting a dressing that’s making us sick.

And I don’t know about you, but whenever I get “glutened” I backtrack what I’ve eaten for the few hours before my swelling and digestive symptoms began and try to isolate the culprit so I don’t make that mistake again. And if I’d

happened to eat at Chik-Fil-A and had the Spicy Dressing, I would not identify that as the offending gluten, since it’s listed on the “Safe” list on their very own site.

Anyway. I emailed them to let them know about this error and that they really need to fix whichever page is incorrect. Hopefully, they’ll fix the problem so fast that by the time you read this it won’t be incorrect any more. :)
